We crave for an/a/some escape, a place/safety/shelter where the pain/suffering/anguish can fade/disappear/evaporate, but often/always/sometimes the darkness persists/holds tight/remains. It's in these moments of helplessness that we must find/create/forge our own/internal/personal light/strength/will. We must face/confront/stand against the emptiness/void/terror, and discover/remember/unearth the powerful spirit that lies within/deep inside/at our core.
A Heavy Blanket of Insomnia
Insomnia acts as a crushing weight upon your mind and body. You toss and turn, searching for sleep to come. The hours crawl by, each one an eternity filled with anxieties and disappointment. This constant state of wakefulness leaves you feeling a prisoner within the darkness.
Aching for Sweet Oblivion
The clutch of oblivion was a siren's call, a searing promise of release. To drown in its depths was to quell the incessant chant of existence. The reality's sharp edges blurred under the influence of its sweetness.
To truly crave oblivion was to plead for a passing respite from the burden of being.
